How to host a Wardogs server

Running your own Wardogs server gives your squad or community its own matches, name and rules. Here is how to get one, start to finish.

Can you self-host a Wardogs server?

No. BULKHEAD doesn't release the Wardogs dedicated server files publicly; it gives them only to hosting companies that pass its testing. Renting from one of those approved hosts is the only way to get your own server.

Step 1: Pick an approved host

BULKHEAD keeps the official list on its Server Hub. On 27 October 2026 it lists BisectHosting, xREALM, GGHost and 1of1Servers. Our comparison page lists what each one offers.

Step 2: Choose the server size

Wardogs servers come in 60, 80 and 100 player sizes. Pick 100 if you want full public matches; 60 or 80 is enough for a clan, private matches or practice.

Step 3: Choose a location

Pick the location closest to most of your players. For a European community that usually means a location in western or central Europe; for North America, a central US location keeps ping even on both coasts. Not every host offers every location, so check before you order.

Step 4: Order and wait for setup

Choose your billing period and pay. The host installs the server and adds it to its control panel, usually within minutes. At BisectHosting you manage it from the Starbase panel.

Step 5: Set it up and fill it

Give the server a name people will recognise, set your rules and admins in the host's panel, then post the server in your community's Discord and pin it. Regular playtimes fill a server faster than a server that's always half empty.

The lobby won't fill itself.

Rent a server at an approved host and get your community playing.
